Bellydancing, Shebbear village hall. 7.30-9.00pm. Bellydance is good for fitness, flexibility and FUN, so come and give it a try. (You don't have to show your belly!) Everyone's welcome. (children should be accompanied by an adult). I've been teaching and performing bellydance for 10 years in this area and lead a troupe called 'Bellylaughs', who have an eclectic style, with a dash of humour. We perform at fetes, carnivals, parties etc. I also give workshops and arrange bellydancing parties, where people from my classes can dance the night away, or perform if they wish. Round Britain Charity coast ride In aid of the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT), club member, Ian Walker plans to ride 4,800 miles around Britain in two weeks. The Archbishop of Canterbuy is celebrating and preaching at a Euacharist on the Cathedral Green in Exeter. Lunch will be available from 1.00 p.m. In the afternoon there will be a multi-media and interactive children’s celebration in the Bishop’s Palace Garden from 3.-4.30 p.m. Songs of Praise led by Judi Spiers will take place on the Cathedral Green from 5.15 p.m. Followed by an evening concert.

Little Bears Pre-School are hosting a 'Cider and Pasty Walk' around Buckland Filleigh to raise funds for the Pre-School. The walk will start from Buckland Filleigh Village Hall at 2pm. There will be one stop en route where cider or squash with cakes and biscuits will be available and on return to the village hall there will be pasties and a selection of salads. Fungi Sunday and Tree Walk, to round off the Wood exhibition at The Little Gallery on the farm, enjoy a short walk among the trees at Southcombe Farm. Led by Nick Thompson, learn how to identify native trees and shrubs in their natural environment and discover how the ancient people of this land lived and worked with trees in a spiritual context (including myths and the Ogham, a celtic tree alphabet). This will be a walk along unmade paths and farmland so please wear sensible footwear and clothing as it may be wet. Duration 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Starting from The Little Gallery on the farm at 2.30pm. £7.50 per person including light refreshment following the walk. Children under 5 free accompanied by an adult. Martin offers a memorable evening of music, humour and stories to enthral audiences of all ages.
